Billing and Commercial Reference
Kinoder uses Kino Credits as a customer billing unit for eligible generation and rendering. A Kino Credit is not a provider credit, model unit, dollar of expense, or guaranteed amount of output.
Customer billing lifecycle
- Kinoder calculates a quote from the current allowed route and billing unit.
- Fixed-price actions show an itemized quote before confirmation.
- The server revalidates the confirmed total at submission.
- Funds may be reserved while work is active.
- Successful work settles the charge.
- Eligible failure or cancellation releases the reservation or creates an idempotent refund.
- Usage history records charges and refunds without exposing provider secrets.
Public profitability model
A sustainable price covers the worst allowed execution path: provider work, permitted retry or fallback, import and validation, compute, storage, delivery, payment fees, expected refunds, and a risk buffer.
required revenue = buffered variable cost / (1 - target contribution margin)
minimum Kino Credits = ceil(required revenue / floor net value per Credit)
IMAGE PLACEHOLDER - Quote and confirmation Replace with a sanitized cost-confirmation dialog showing itemized components and total Kino Credits. Recommended size: 1200 x 900 px.
Provider contracts, internal margin targets, invoices, package-floor calculations, and pause thresholds remain confidential. Dashboard estimates alone do not prove company profitability.
