Privacy Policy

Effective date: 27 October 2026
Last updated: 27 October 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how personal information is collected, used, disclosed, and protected when you use Kinoder’s websites, applications, creative tools, AI-assisted features, rendering services, publishing tools, and related services (the “Service”).

The data controller or responsible business is the legal entity identified on your order form, invoice, payment receipt, or other commercial document (“Kinoder,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). For privacy questions or requests, contact [email protected].

1. Information we collect

Account and profile information

We may collect your name or display name, email address, password hash, account role, authentication settings, encrypted multi-factor authentication secrets, connected identity-provider identifiers, account preferences, and session or device information.

Content and creative activity

We process prompts, scripts, uploads, images, video, audio, likenesses, project files, subjects, storyboards, templates, revisions, generated outputs, render instructions, publishing selections, and related metadata you provide or create.

Content may contain personal information about you or others. You are responsible for ensuring you have permission and a lawful basis to provide that content.

Billing and transaction information

We process Kino Credit balances, purchases, usage, invoices, transaction records, plan information, and limited payment-method metadata. Payment card details are handled by our payment processor; Kinoder does not store complete card numbers.

Connected services

If you sign in with or connect a third-party service, we receive information authorized by that service and your settings, such as an account identifier, profile information, authorization status, and tokens required to maintain the connection. When you publish through Kinoder, the selected media and related publishing data are sent to the destination you choose.

Technical and operational information

We may collect IP address, browser and device information, timestamps, session metadata, request identifiers, diagnostic logs, audit events, security signals, provider job identifiers, model and usage metadata, and information about how features perform.

Communications

We collect the content of support requests, feedback, notices, and other messages you send us.

2. How we use information

We use personal information to:

  • create, authenticate, secure, and administer accounts;
  • provide projects, generation, rendering, storage, collaboration, billing, and publishing features;
  • transmit requested inputs to AI and infrastructure providers and return results;
  • process payments, Kino Credits, invoices, refunds, and accounting records;
  • maintain project history, revisions, settings, and connected services;
  • detect abuse, fraud, security incidents, and violations of our Terms;
  • troubleshoot, monitor, analyze, and improve the Service;
  • communicate about transactions, security, support, and material service changes;
  • comply with law and enforce agreements; and
  • protect users, Kinoder, providers, and the public.

Where applicable, our legal bases include performance of a contract, compliance with legal obligations, our legitimate interests in operating and protecting the Service, and consent where consent is required. You may withdraw consent at any time, without affecting earlier lawful processing.

3. AI processing

When you request an AI-assisted feature, relevant prompts, files, settings, and content may be sent to the provider selected by Kinoder or configured for your workspace. Providers process that information to fulfill the requested job and may return generated content and usage metadata.

Do not submit sensitive personal information or third-party content unless it is necessary, permitted, and appropriately protected. Review provider options and workspace settings where available. Kinoder does not use your private workspace content to train a general-purpose model unless we give clear notice and obtain any consent required by law.

4. How we disclose information

We may disclose information to:

  • AI and media-processing providers that perform generation, moderation, transformation, or rendering;
  • hosting, storage, security, monitoring, email, and support providers that operate the Service;
  • payment processors and financial partners that process transactions and prevent fraud;
  • identity and social-platform providers when you connect, sign in, or publish;
  • professional advisers and authorities when reasonably necessary for legal, audit, insurance, security, or compliance purposes;
  • a buyer, successor, or participant in a corporate transaction, subject to appropriate safeguards; and
  • other workspace members or the public, when you choose to share, collaborate, or publish.

Service providers may use information only as permitted by their contracts and applicable law. Third parties you independently choose to connect may process information under their own privacy policies.

Kinoder does not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising as those terms are defined by applicable US state privacy laws. If this practice changes, we will provide notice and any required choice before the change applies.

5. International transfers

Kinoder and its providers may process information in countries other than yours. Where required, we use recognized transfer mechanisms and safeguards, such as adequacy decisions, standard contractual clauses, or equivalent protections. You may contact us for information about applicable safeguards.

6. Retention

We retain information only as long as reasonably needed to provide and secure the Service, maintain project and transaction history, satisfy legal, tax, accounting, and reporting duties, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements.

Retention varies by data type and workspace configuration. Feature-specific periods may be shown in the Service. Temporary provider artifacts, pending authorizations, sessions, and render activity may expire sooner. Closing an account revokes access, but transaction records, audit events, revision history, backups, or records required for legal and security purposes may remain for the applicable retention period. We delete or de-identify information when it is no longer required.

7. Security

We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information, including access controls, credential hashing, encrypted secrets, session controls, audit records, and transport security. No system is completely secure. Protect your credentials and notify us promptly at [email protected] if you believe your account or content has been compromised.

8. Your privacy rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to:

  • know or access personal information we hold about you;
  • correct inaccurate information;
  • delete information;
  • restrict or object to certain processing;
  • receive a portable copy of information;
  • withdraw consent;
  • opt out of certain sale, sharing, targeted advertising, or profiling practices;
  • appeal a denied request; and
  • complain to a data-protection or privacy regulator.

To exercise a right, email [email protected] with enough information to identify your account and request. We may verify your identity and authority before responding. Authorized agents may submit requests where local law permits. We will not discriminate against you for exercising a privacy right.

Some rights are subject to exceptions—for example, where information must be retained for security, transactions, legal obligations, free expression, or legal claims.

9. Cookies and similar technologies

Kinoder uses cookies, local storage, and similar technologies needed for authentication, security, preferences, and core functionality. If optional analytics or marketing technologies are used, we will provide notices and choices required by applicable law. Browser controls can limit cookies, but disabling necessary storage may prevent parts of the Service from working.

10. Children

The Service is not directed to children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so we can investigate and take appropriate action.

The Service may link to or publish content on third-party websites and platforms. Their privacy practices are independent of Kinoder. Review their policies before connecting an account or publishing content.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in the Service, law, or our practices. We will post the updated version and revise the “Last updated” date. For material changes, we will provide additional notice where required.
